Our Story

An inn on King Street since 1642.

The Cross Keys is one of Knutsford’s oldest inns. It appears among the town’s 42 taverns in records from 1642, and on Lord Egerton’s estate map of 1786.

In the 1800s it was run by the Barrow sisters: Hanna, Jane and Anne. The 18th-century building still welcomes locals, visitors and overnight guests today.
